Isobel Holly is that rare find, a young talent with capabilities beyond her years. This ability results in an enviable songwriting prowess that creates songs of youthful exuberance and worldly observation, delivered with the pop sensibilities of a seasoned campaigner.
Hailing from Bath, the 17 year old already has 2 self-released EPs under her belt, a clutch of Featured Vocal co-writes with an EDM producer/DJ and a cover feature in Bath’s Music & Culture magazine, The Guide.
These endeavours have attracted the attention of BBC Introducing in the West, resulting in numerous BBC Radio airplays over the years, together with a live filming and recording session at BBC Bristol for their Garden Session series in 2015. Following the success of this exposure, Isobel was invited to perform at the 2016 BBC Christmas concert at the Colston Hall, Bristol.
This latter show rounded off a busy live schedule in 2016 that also included sets at The Troubadour and The Bedford in London, a headline show at Bristol’s Louisiana and a support to Lera Lynn at Bath International MusicFestival at the Komedia in Bath. The year concluded with her sold out headline show at Bath’s Chapel Arts Centre to launch the “Sensibilities” EP.
Sensibilities picks up where her debut, The Right Way Up, left off, whilst showcasing Isobel’s ever growing songwriting style and reaching out to new audiences with an ever changing aural aesthetic. Accompanied by a band made up of some of Bath and Bristol’s finest musicians, Isobel is set to take the UK music scene by storm with her inspired blend of jazz harmony and soulful rhythm and feel, tied together with heartfelt, story driven lyricism; offering something for all tastes.
